FAQs
The float pool is a light- and sound-proof space, about 2.5 metres long and 1.5 metres wide and high, with very salty, buoyant water at the bottom. Both the water and the air are warm to the skin. You lie down in the water and find a good position and relax.
Below are some of the most frequently asked questions from our clients.
How small is the float pod? Will I feel claustrophobic?
This is the most common question we get. Don’t worry, the pod is spacious and airy. The lid is light and you can leave it open if you like. You can also leave the tank lights on or listen to music throughout the float session.
The white rooms at Float Roba (1 & 2) have Cabin-style pools. You enter the cabin through a door and you can easily stand inside the pool. The floating experiece is similar to that of the pods but because of the extra space, we recommend booking a Cabin if you are highly claustrophobic.
What are the benefits of floating?
For some, floating is about a little pampering and a little time to themselves in the middle of everyday life. However, many people also come to float with us for therapeutic reasons. People come to us under the guidance of doctors and therapists, or independently, to treat conditions such as post-traumatic stress, anxiety, chronic pain, burn-out and insomnia. The therapeutic benefits of relaxation therapy and other REST (Restricted Environmental Stimulation Technique) methods have been proven in a number of clinical trials.

How do I need to prepare?
t is best to avoid caffeine for a few hours before your session. Coffee and tea are available right after the float. Also, shaving right before the float should be avoided as the Epsom salt may cause burning..
Can I float with a friend or in a group?
Float Kallio has three float pools, as does Float Roba. All sessions start at the same time for each tank so you can come with your friend and float simultaneously. Just remember to book your own float room for each float. We also welcome larger groups and we can tailor packages that suit your needs.
